Herstorical Background on the Official [Afra]Goddess Series . . . l ( tm) by AfraShe Asungi:
The series was part of a larger body of paintings and writings, entitled "Amazons" and is significant for it's mythic restructuring, delineation and depiction of "Strong, Self-Contained" and Self-governing Afrikan Goddess during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Additonally, in the early 1980s AfraShe Asungi broke new ground when she coined posited a modern Afrikan philogynous linguistic system inclusive of the terms MAMAROOTS (R) , Afracentrik (R) , Afrakan (R) and AfraKamaa t(R) as well as other wordage which uses the root prefix "Afra" (tm) to depict having being of MatriNubian SpiraCultural (tm) origin] as well as modern adaptations of lost legacies that affirmed that genetic ancestry of all huminkind originated in predynastik, Parthenogenic Matriarchal Nubia.
AfraShe envisioned and founded the landmark MAMAROOTS AfraKamaatik SpiraCultural Sistahood (tm) (1982), along w/ the publication, MAMAROOTS Triune Forum(tm) (1990) based on these landmark MatriNubian (tm) social /spiritual constructs which are Rooted in Our AfraKamaatik(tm) Principles of Kasmik Harmony and Order.
